I'm lucky

Hi.
I do not remember having suffered many accidents in my life. At least not serious.
The first and only accident that I was taken to the hospital was when I was 10 years old. I twisted two fingers of my left hand with a ball of hand ball (yes, the softest of all the balls that can exist in a gymnastics class). It was funny because I was left with the middle finger in a cast, which was very misleading when I raised my hand to say hello ...
Other minor accidents were blows to the head with a soccer ball that left me somewhat dazed, flying off the bike and hurting my chin, falling since a fence (for me it was funny but my friends really worried. When your friends get scared instead of laughing, it's because it's serious (?)), falling off my ass for a hill, being born, multiple simple falls ... Anyway, I think I've had a lot of luck and many times I've been saved by the hairs.

Why Anthropology?

I don't really know.  First, I wanted to study Arts, there were other careers that I liked them, like Psychology, Graphic Desing, Forest engineering and Architecture, but Anthropology appaered as a new way when I was in last year of school. I heard that in this university I could enter to Archeology mention if I studied Anthropology...  So, I remember that when child, my dream was to be Paleontologist, but that career doesn't exist in Chile :( Archeology is the closest to Paleontology that exists here. I finally decided that I would study Anthropology and then Arts. In the year and a half that I've been studying I mean that this career is very nice, I hope to get to Archeology mention next semester.

the favorite subject? Mmm...

Fourth semester of Anthropology is famed for being lazy and uninteresting, is actually the last period before the selection of mention (archaeology, social and physical) so that the most important subjects (that you must aprove) are the prerequisite subjects of the mention that you want to choice. The rest is no very relevant  (I really want to enter to the archaeology mention quickly with such to study subjects more entertaining and that I like them). This semester has been a little demotivating... In this context, find a "favourite subject" is difficult something but no impossible. I think that the better subject of the semester is Prehistory II. I don't do well, we read a lot (possibly more than in all other subjects together) but anyway the teacher puts bad grades (to everybody), because the tests are too horrible for a ordinary mortal. And even so, is the subject in which I most learn... It burst us in the tests and made us to make a speach every week, we read...

Sunset on Atacama Desert is so beautiful! 🌅

Hello! I took this picture in January of this year when I traveled with my best friend to the North. San Pedro was the last stop after 7 more places. It was our firts experience traveling alone and we definitely had to visit El Valle de la Luna in Atacama Desert! I chose this photo because I love so much the colors and the moment that represents: after the rain (yes, we find peals of  thunder and a few of rain in the most arid desert of the world in midsummer) the sky is cleared and is the most awaited moment by the tourists:  The sunset. It was an almost magical moment, when all people (from multiple languages, countries and cultures) meet and marvel for the beauty of nature. Within the tour, only we and a family spoke Spanish, but the language barrier did not matter when it came to sharing that scene with applause and an almost childish wonder.
